Online retailer The Snugg are anticipating good sales over the festive season as Apple's iPad Mini creates record sales with two million sold in just three days.

Online retailers The Snugg are predicting a boost this Christmas with the initial success in sales of the iPad Mini.

Analysts have predicted that Apple sold two million iPad Minis in the first three days after its release.

In response The Snugg, which specialises in creating top of the range accessories and protective cases for the whole iPad range including the latest mini, have seen a significant increase in the intrest of their new iPad Mini protective covers and have had to increase productivity to meet the high demand over the early Christmas period.

Speaking on behalf of The Snugg, Marketing Manager Les Yates stated, “We have witnessed a strong interest in our iPad Mini cases and accessories range since the release of the device at the beginning of the month.

“The significant interest in the latest Apple tablet has been a welcoming response in the run up to Christmas and I expect the release of the LTE device will create another buying surge from customers over the next month.”

The introduction of the iPad Mini, and the enthusiastic response from buyers, suggests that Apple’s shares could increase in the fourth quarter. The figures compared with 5 million sales in three days of the iPhone 5 which launched in September.

Despite the radical management shakeup initiated by chief executive Tim Cook just days before the products went on sale, including the departure of its retail boss Jon Browett, Apple seemed to keep its supply and retail chain running smoothly.

Commenting on the influx of sales in the first few days Cook stated:

“Customers around the world love the new iPad Mini... We set a new launch weekend record and practically sold out of iPad minis. We’re working hard to build more quickly to meet the incredible demand.”

The sales only included Wi-FI versions of the devices, with 3G and 4G enabled models released later this month. Apple had sent out emails to inform tablet buyers that their iPad Minis are going to be shipped out within a few days; however the tablet giant decided to remove this date from a number of orders and replace it with a more generic approximation of mid-November. The Snugg are confident however that Apple are on track to meet there two week dispatch deadline.
