The Royal Health Group recently reported significant improvements in operations and census performance due to the use of Patient Placement System’s Referral Management System

Royal Health Group recently provided some interesting new data: Its overall number of referrals handled has increased by 19.6 percent since it started using the RMS system.

Patient Placement Systems (PPS) announced today that Royal Health Group has increased its overall number of referrals handled by 19.6 percent since it started using RMS at all six of its facilities in 2010.

Royal Health Group chose the Referral Management System (RMS) from Patient Placement Systems to manage, track and report on all patient referrals from all sources, across all locations. Since subscribing, Royal Health Group has documented many census and admissions improvements:

  • 80 percent faster response times
  • Dramatic increase in referral volumes from key hospitals
  • Improved strategies for RUG-IV reimbursements and niche clinical service offerings based on declined referral reports
  • Conversion rates for electronic referrals from other hospital systems up to 40-plus percent from 18 percent or less
  • Swifter actions and greater responsiveness and effectiveness for liaisons in the field
  • Timely, complete business intelligence forging stronger relationships with referral sources and higher conversion and admissions rates

Royal Health Group recently provided some interesting new data: Its overall number of referrals handled has increased by 19.6 percent since it started using the RMS system at all six facilities in summer of 2010. In an increasingly competitive market, in which many SNFs report diminished referrals, a nearly 20 percent growth in less than two years marks a performance milestone.

“We attribute these increases to the efficiency realized with the Web-based RMS solution, which enables our six facilities to handle more referrals and strengthen relationships with hospital referral sources,” said James Mamary Jr., chief of business development for Royal Health Group. “Those stronger referral source relationships make a huge difference, as hospital case managers know they will get a decision quickly and place patients faster.”
