SkillSurvey®, Inc. announced today that it was named to Deloitte’s 2012 Fast 500™ list for North America and to the companion Fast 50 list for Greater Philadelphia. SkillSurvey, the inventor and leading provider of online reference-checking solutions, ranked number 135 among the 500 fastest-growing technology, media, telecommunications, life sciences, and clean technology companies in North America. It also ranked number six among the top 50 of those companies around Philadelphia.

The ranking is based on achieved revenue growth between 2007 and 2011, reflecting 755% growth for SkillSurvey during that time frame. SkillSurvey previously ranked 116th as a Technology Fast 500™ award winner for 2011.

“The companies on the Fast 500 list are among those that have demonstrated remarkable innovation, creativity and business savvy,” said Bill Ribaudo, partner and national TMT leader for audit and enterprise risk services at Deloitte & Touche LLP. “As a result, these companies have continued to successfully forge ahead in a challenging economic environment. We applaud the leadership and employees of SkillSurvey for this impressive accomplishment.”

“We are pleased to be recognized among the top technology companies in the nation and the Philadelphia region for the second consecutive year,” said Ray Bixler, president and chief executive officer of SkillSurvey, Inc. “We’re proud to be able to consistently grow and provide ground-breaking solutions that allow human resources professionals everywhere to make better hiring decisions.”

SkillSurvey®’s core offering is its Pre-Hire 360® solution, which gathers input from a job applicant’s references by using behaviorally-based surveys delivered through enterprise software. The surveys reveal a candidate’s strengths and developmental needs, and the confidential input from managers, peers, subordinates and business partners provides a multi-dimensional view of the candidate’s past performance. The system overcomes the usual reticence of former employers, because they are released from liability and their feedback is confidential.

Subscribers to SkillSurvey® are also able to access a vast pool of candidates using the passive candidate database feature. This resource enables employers to automatically build a network of references themselves who have opted-in to learn more about future employment opportunities.

SkillSurvey® serves a wide variety of clients, from eBay and Kohl’s to Penn Medicine and Yale-New Haven Health.
