“During a natural disaster the access to mobile electric power will help the Guard conserve key resources and preserve lives” said Devin Scott, CEO of Energy Xtreme.

The Texas National Guard has equipped civil emergency vehicles in both their Homeland Response Force and Civil Support Departments with Energy Xtreme’s Independence Package®, mobile electric power systems. The Guard plays a key role during natural and other domestic disasters. The Independence Package will provide the Texas National Guard the ability to power the demanding electrical needs of their vehicles without a combustion engine.

For the Guard, readiness with the ability to provide life sustaining needs in remote locations or without basic services could mean the difference between life and death. Mobile electric power allows the Guard the ability to self power, giving them power when and where they need it. In addition to readiness preparation, Energy Xtreme's mobile power idle reduction systems will help the Texas National Guard become less dependent on oil, perform less maintenance on their vehicles, mitigate vehicle down time and officer in-field time by eliminating dead batteries, and reduce the Texas Military’s production and contribution of vehicle emissions.

“During a natural disaster the access to mobile electric power will help the Guard conserve key resources and preserve lives,” said Devin Scott, CEO of Energy Xtreme.

Energy Xtreme's mobile power idle reduction systems are a smart power management device that provides power, without engine engagement, to vehicles with demanding electrical needs. The system allows the Guard’s civil emergency vehicle’s full electrical systems - including lights, onboard camera, computer, electrical equipment and radio - to operate without having to idle the vehicle's engine. The system automatically recharges while the vehicle is being driven. It saves fuel by increasing the vehicles MPG and reduces emissions by eliminating the need to idle, extending the life of the vehicle by mitigating engine wear and tear. Additionally, the system is non-combustible, completely silent and doesn't leave a heat trace, providing stealth capabilities.

The Texas National Guard state mission mandates helping communities during natural disasters and civil emergencies; they are committed to sustainability and stewardship of our environment and natural resources. Equipping with mobile electric power aligns with the Guard’s purpose to assess strategic decisions for balance between environmental considerations and mission requirements to ensure future sustainment of resources and readiness, while providing increased tactical capabilities.
