“We have spent countless hours searching the area high and low for the most unique holiday gifts. What we came up with were some handsomely hand-crafted gifts that are sure to be something your loved ones don’t already have."

The tree is up, the ornaments are hung, and lights are twinkling throughout the building. That’s right. The Heirloom Market & Café are preparing for the holiday season. As “big box” stores attempt to edge out their competition by extending “Black Friday” hours, dropping prices, and cutting into their employees’ time with their families, this family-oriented company is here to give their customers a truly unique holiday shopping and dining experience.

Instead of focusing their efforts on how to effectively slash prices and pack their store with as many people as possible, they have been transforming their store into a holiday wonderland. Outside of the building you will find icicle lights strung from end to end of the front of the building, a brand new and nearly life-sized nativity scene, and lights powered by their very own solar panel technology.

As you pass into The Heirloom Café the ceiling is adorned with snowflakes that hang overhead, offering the illusion of a beautiful, blustery day. You can also nestle into a seat next to the fireplace with a cup of hot cocoa or warm peppermint mocha. The fireplace is beautifully accented with garland and Christmas lights.
The focal point inside The Heirloom Market is the Christmas tree decorated like it belongs in a big city store in downtown New York or Chicago. Inside the market, the shelves are stocked with local handmade holiday gifts including gift baskets for all ages. “We will begin to offer live Christmas trees on Tuesday, November 20th,“ says James Traver, Manager of The Heirloom Market. “We have spent countless hours searching the area high and low for the most unique holiday gifts. What we came up with were some handsomely hand-crafted gifts that are sure to be something your loved ones don’t already have. We set out to find items that you can’t buy at a ‘big box’ store.”

The Heirloom Market & Café is located in beautiful, sunny Thomson, IL. They have several fun and exciting events for families coming up during the holiday season.
