Donald Trump, a New York business and media mogul, a resident of the island of Palm Beach and the star of NBC’s Celebrity Apprentice, this week snapped up a big piece of Jupiter real estate.
Trump bought The Ritz-Carlton Golf Club & Spa, a gorgeous residential community that features a Jack Nicklaus-designed golf course, a 68,000-square-foot clubhouse, an exquisite pro shop and luxurious men’s and women’s facilities that include golf-club storage. The community also offers a 15,000-square-foot fitness center and spa, a resort-style swimming pool, top-of-the-line tennis courts and – for families – a Ritz Kids program.

The homes in the private development comprise grand estates, beautiful villas and well-appointed club homes. Among the amenities are elegant furnishings, cool and shady lanais, outdoor kitchens and spectacular views of the golf course.
The deal has been in the negotiating stages for months until Trump tweeted Nov. 15 he signed the contract.
“Just signed contract to purchase the Ritz Carlton in Jupiter, Florida--great land, great location, great future!” the tweet reads.
Trump, who ran for president early on in the campaign, has a dominant presence in South Florida. He owns The Mar-a-Lago Club, a breathtaking piece of Palm Beach real estate that runs from the Ocean to the Intracoastal Waterway, and, in West Palm Beach, Trump International Golf Club. The Ritz-Carlton Golf Club & Spa marks his first move into the northern Palm Beach County area.
This summer, Trump landed another headline-making deal when he purchased the signature Doral Golf Resort & Spa in Miami, the home of the championship golf course called the “Blue Monster.”
Homes for sale at The Ritz-Carlton Golf Club & Spa range in price from more than $1 million up to $4 million. All are graced with distinctive Mediterranean architecture, a la Addison Mizner.
The Ritz-Carlton Golf Club & Spa offers nonresident packages that include golf memberships, spa privileges and invitations to social events.
Its proximity to Florida’s Turnpike, Interstate 95, Palm Beach International Airport and The Gardens Mall – as well as the cultural mecca of the Kravis Center of the Performing Arts, make it one of the most sought-after places to live in the north end.
