Holidays Provide Authors Opportunities to Showcase Books and Raise Funds for Worthy Causes

Linda Maria Frank, author of Annie Tillery Mysteries, will be showcasing and selling her books, "The Madonna Ghost" and "Girl with Pencil, Drawing" at this year's holiday crafts fairs, and supporting one of her favorite charities.

Books make great gifts! Pitching her Annie Tillery Mysteries, adventures for girls of all ages, author, Linda Maria Frank will participate at the events listed below. These books provide a gift buying opportunity that could be the start of a life-long reading habit for a favorite child, grandchild or niece.These fairs and boutiques allow Frank, a career educator, to meet shoppers, and pitch her books to parents and grandparents of her target YA audience. Shoppers who fall in love with this idea, but cannot make the events, can purchase the books on-line, "The Madonna Ghost" and "Girl with Pencil, Drawing", and start a great book-buying holiday tradition. Next year, Frank plans to release the third Annie Tillery Mystery, "Secrets in the Fairy Chimneys".

Frank's YA mystery series features a heroine who is smart, not nerdy, attractive to the YA audience, but also a role model for young women that parents and grandparents can applaud. She refers to the series as "Nancy Drew" meets CSI.

Frank uses these events to not only sell her books, but to raise money for the INN, the Interfaith Nutritional Network, an organization which runs soup kitchens and shelters for needy folks in the Long Island community.The sale of each book provides one dollar of revenue for the INN.

About Linda Maria Frank: She has enjoyed a lifelong career teaching science at both the high school and university levels, enabling her to convert case studies from her forensic science courses into credible mysteries for girls of all ages. She resides on Long Island, New York. The first two books of the Annie Tillery Mysteries are "The Madonna Ghost" and "Girl with Pencil, Drawing". Frank promotes her books by doing programs about mystery writing, self-publishing, and the world of marketing. She does fundraising events using her adventures in authorship as a draw.
