As the holiday season approaches, La Prima Catering is sprinkling an extra dash of goodwill into its winning recipes, providing pro bono catering services for a variety of recent events that benefit local good causes.

Through La Prima Gives, the company's corporate philanthropy initiative, staff volunteers their time, money and supplies to several charitable organizations. In the last month, La Prima catered breakfasts for the American Diabetes Association's Step Out Walk on October 20; for the Survivors Tent at the National Race to End Women's Cancer in Washington, DC on November 4; and at the Get Your Rear in Gear 5K in Alexandria, VA on November 10 that benefitted the Colon Cancer Coalition.

“Great service extends beyond our valued clients to those less fortunate and several good causes in our communities,” said La Prima President Dave Evans. “Philanthropy is an important part of who we are and what we do." "

La Prima Catering was proud to be one of the first 200 companies in the U.S. to pledge pro bono leadership skills services to the Billion + Change Campaign this year, harnessing corporate experience and know-how to solve some of society’s most challenging problems. La Prima has pledged 500 volunteer hours to local nonprofit organizations and causes in the DC metro area in 2013 as part of this ambitious campaign.

“In addition to being one of the DC region's best caterers, La Prima is committed to helping others and strengthening our own organization by working together for the greater good,” Evans added.
