With two opening lines of dog collars and leashes and tons of great colors to choose from, Ruff Again combines an eco-friendly initiative with good old durability and function.

Ruff Again, LLC opened its cyber-doors this week with its new website, offering dog owners a chance to recycle and help the environment, and their dogs, with NO extra effort . . . would you? Ruff Again offers dog collars, leashes, and gear made with recycled and reclaimed material. With two opening lines of dog collars and leashes and tons of great colors to choose from, Ruff Again combines an eco-friendly initiative with good old durability and function.

The Ruff Again Spin It! Series offers dog owner’s earth-friendly, recycled dog collars and leashes made with reclaimed bicycle inner tubes. That's right - right off the bike inner tubes. Going from bike shop to bike shop, Ruff Again collects the old inner tubes removed from bicycles which otherwise would just be thrown into the trash and ultimately into a landfill.

The Ruff Again Click It! Series offers recycled dog collars and leashes made with reclaimed seat belts and nylon webbing textile waste. For these products, Ruff Again goes to auto salvage and junk yards and strips out the old seat belts, removes the hardware, washes the belts and then sews them into attractive collars and leashes. Textile waste? Ruff Again takes textile waste - the remnants and pieces that are left over when making nylon webbing for seat belts, aviation, construction, etc. and, just like with the seat belts, chops them up and sews them into collars and leashes. And it's not just remnants, the textile waste includes pieces that are a-typical and have misprints or other cosmetic issues.

Ruff Again, LLC is based in Boonsboro, Maryland and was created by Amy Rounceville and Heath Gibson. On their website it explains that the duo are dog and horse owners and avid outdoor enthusiasts. Running, hiking, kayaking, camping or whatever they may jump into, they usually have their two energetic dogs with them. When asked about why they started the company Amy states: "We know how important our dogs are to us and imagine that many people have awesome dogs just like us. I know that I probably don't focus enough on recycling or the environment on a day-to-day basis. These products not only allow us to contribute to the environment but they allow us to enable our customers to do the same by having a collar or leash that is eco-friendly and just as good, if not better, than what is currently being offered."

Ruff Again distinguishes itself from other green companies that make their product out of natural or organic material (such as bamboo, cotton, or hemp) has to generate new webbing or a new material for their collars. This inherently results in generating waste because a new material must be created before the collar can be made. Ruff Again significantly reduces and in some instances almost eliminates such waste by taking products and a material destined for the land fill and reincarnates them into clean, strong, very good looking and earth-friendly dog gear.

And that's not the half of it. Ruff Again has other products in the pipeline so keep your eyes and ears open. And the biscuit on the top: ALL products are 100% handmade in the U.S.A.

All in all, Ruff Again's products are top of the line, eco-friendly products. And with additional new products to be released prior to the end of the year, this is a company that makes it easy for everyone to go green!
