Since November is Healthy Skin Month, Scientific Skincare Brand Likewise Skincare Releases Statement on Handling Dry Irritated Skin during the Winter Months

On November 22, Likewise Skincare releases a statement on handling dry, irritated skin in honor of National Healthy Skin Month.

November has been declared National Healthy Skin Month by The American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) “in order to raise awareness about the importance of keeping skin fresh, hydrated and healthy all year round.”

“November is the perfect time to be thinking about dry irritated skin,” said Likewise Skincare Representative Lisa Shariat. “People should really be using moisturizers all year round in order to protect their skin, but this becomes even more important in the winter. And, once December rolls around, the damage might already be done if you’re unprepared. So, you really need to start planning before the snow starts falling and the air goes dry. I recommend that everybody use a daily moisturizer that is specifically formulated for your skin type. This way, you can be sure that you’re getting everything you need. I also recommend that people use a moisturizer with a built-in sunscreen. Everybody should be using sunscreen in order to prevent skin cancer and, if you’re going to be using moisturizer every day, it never hurts to kill two birds with one stone.”

Likewise Skincare was founded by board certified dermatologist and President of Likewise, Inc., Dr. Julie Pena. Likewise daily moisturizers are all-in-one but not one-fits-all. Each moisturizer is formulated with skin-balancing toners to work with your specific skin type. The moisturizers use a combination of anti-aging antioxidants, ultra-protective zinc oxide, and water-resistant ingredients to keep you protected.
