“Because more than 70 percent of our health problems — high blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes, osteoporosis, hypertension, etc. — can be prevented, I want to help people develop motivation,” comments Gaines. “Given the positive impact exercise also has on how our brains function, I feel compelled to share inspiring research that might encourage people to become healthier. I believe knowledge is a strong incentive to take action.”

Lorna Kleidman supports Gaines’s mission to educate others about health and encourages those above the age of 50 to improve their health. “As we grow older, our bodies become more susceptible to the dangers of poor health. But there’s a wealth of information ou there, if we educate ourselves and exchange our poor habits for better nutritional choices, there is no reason we can’t live longer, healthier lives,” comments Kleidman.

Understanding why exercise and diet are central to leading a more active, healthier and longer life provides inspiration to stick to a health program — even when we inevitably stumble.”

“Education is the key to better health,” comments Kleidman. “There is no way I would have become a three-time kettlebell champion or an instructor if I didn’t keep learning and growing along the way. “
