Living in Digital Times® today announced Dr. Sanjay Gupta, CNN’s Chief Medical Correspondent, will open the “Digital Health Confidential” session during the two-day Digital Health Summit at CES. Exploring behind the military’s closed doors, this special session will offer a unique sneak peek into the game-changing innovations in medical care and wellness for the armed forces. Produced by Living in Digital Times®, the Digital Health Summit is scheduled January 9-10 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Owned and produced by the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA)®, the 2013 CES will occur January 8-11 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Dr. Gupta will lead a revealing discussion, along with key trailblazers, pushing the boundaries of digital health for the frontlines, from breakthroughs in monitoring sensors and body energy harnessing to power mobile devices. This session will also highlight frontline image-guided procedures and advancements in veteran rehabilitation.

“Dr. Gupta’s involvement in this summit is crucial because it will draw significant attention to the vital pioneering work of the military in the field of digital health, which in turn will fuel consumer tech in the future,” said Jill Gilbert, producer of the Digital Health Summit. “This dynamic session will set the pace for a provocative and informative two-day conference.”

“Having spent time on the battlefield with our military’s doctors, nurses and medics, I understand the importance of having state of the art technology that travels easily and stands up to impossible conditions,” said Dr. Gupta. “I look forward to learning about what’s on the horizon to help our service-members, and ultimately seeing how these technologies will improve the lives of consumers at home.”
