When your daughter approaches you to ask if there is any way we as a community can do more to help our neighbors, it really makes you feel like you’ve done something right
Owings Mills, MD (PRWEB) November 19, 2012
Michael B. Fein, Managing Partner of CIC Wealth Management Group (http://www.cicwealth.com) in Owings Mills, MD recently participated in a day of giving back at Habitat for Humanity of San Antonio, the first U.S. affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, which supports families in need by building homes, strengthening neighborhoods, and improving communities. The initiative was sponsored by Fein’s broker/dealer, Commonwealth Financial Network®, the nation’s largest privately held independent broker/dealer, during its annual National Conference in San Antonio, Texas, held November 2–5, 2012.
Fein and a peer group of 170 financial advisors and their guests, donated his time to assist Habitat for Humanity with this worthwhile project, which involved helping build a new single-family home for a local family.
“When your daughter approaches you to ask if there is any way we as a community can do more to help our neighbors, it really makes you feel like you’ve done something right,” said Fein. “We thank Commonwealth Financial Network for sponsoring this event as we wanted to give back to the community by building homes and helping to acheieve the dream of home ownership.”
While in San Antonio, Fein also attended Commonwealth’s 2012 National Conference, which drew more than 781 financial advisors who came together to learn from industry experts, network with peers, and examine the current market climate in an effort to provide continued leadership to investors.
The conference theme, State of Independence, encouraged attendees to channel their own independent spirit as inspiration to explore new terrain in their practices and with their clients. James Carville and Mary Matalin, married political consultants who sit on opposite sides of the aisle, were the keynote speakers, offering a lively debate on the current political landscape. Brad McMillan, Commonwealth’s chief investment officer, presented an economic and market update.
