We are currently at 60% sold/reserved, and our additional model homes will be open for viewing this Spring

Fountaingrove Lodge, the nation’s first retirement community with the option of continuing care for the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgendered (LGBT) community, is scheduled to open in Summer 2013. With construction well underway, the lush 10-acre property located in the heart of beautiful Sonoma County will offer activities, excursions, and amenities to enhance wellness and contemporary living.

“We are currently at 60% sold/reserved, and our additional model homes will be open for viewing this Spring,” says Cindy Gallaher, founder and principal of Oakmont Senior Living (OSL), who developed the concept with her husband, Bill. “Fountaingrove Lodge will provide an inviting, supportive, and active lifestyle in a setting of exceptional natural beauty, where a diverse group of LGBT seniors can live, relax, and enjoy a community of friends.”

Residences will be comprised of six beautiful bungalows and 64 gorgeously-appointed apartment homes with nine different floor plans – ranging from 830 to 2,001 square feet – designed in the Craftsman style of architecture, with the use of fine woodwork and stone, inside and out, that echoes native rocks and trees.

Each bungalow will have its own patio or deck, and each apartment home will have a private patio or balcony. The property will boast wireless service in the main common areas, a library, business center, bank, salon and day spa, great hall for special events and dancing, library, wood shop, pet park, and bocce court. Residents can join friends for a glass of wine in the lounge, grab a snack in the bistro, or dine in the formal dining room. They can also throw a private party in the Wine Cave, rustle up a game of cards, watch a favorite film in the HD theatre, or get creative in the art studio. On site workshops and literary presentations will be provided for all residents, and gourmet meals, weekly housekeeping, concierge services, and home and yard maintenance will also be available.

The spectacular championship Fountaingrove Golf Course complements an on-site fitness center, where residents may join a yoga or aerobics class, focus on strength training in the fully equipped weight room, take part in health and fitness lectures, or swim laps in the tranquil outdoor heated pool.

Fountaingrove is a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC), providing peace of mind for a growing number of seniors who want to live independently now, with the option of healthcare service that is close at hand should the need arise. Healthcare services will be made available in the home, paid for on a fee-for-service basis, and include state-of-the-art emergency call and response systems. An on site care center will provide memory care for residents with Alzheimer's/dementia. Temporary home healthcare, follow up care during recuperation from short-term illness or injury, and full time private care will also be available.

“We have truly enjoyed meeting the first group of residents who will be making Fountaingrove their home,” adds Gallaher. “This is a dream that has been several years in the making, and reflects our desire to provide fine retirement living opportunities for a broad range of seniors. Our first residents are planning to move in the Summer of 2013.”

The Fountaingrove Lodge Model Homes and Sales Office are located at 4210 Thomas Lake Harris Drive in Santa Rosa, California. For more information about pricing, amenities, or to schedule a tour of the property, call 707-576-1101 or go to http://www.fountaingrovelodge.com.
