Zentive, an innovative software company in the cable and satellite Pay TV space announced today that Unitymedia KabelBW, a leading German entertainment and communications company, has deployed a key component of Zentive’s 360Web Service Platform© family in its next-generation IT systems environment.

Unitymedia KabelBW is using the Zentive platform to standardise how their BSS and OSS applications communicate with one another today while also ensuring that they have a solution that is ideal for delivering next-generation Tablet and Smartphone based apps. Because the 360Web Service Platform is based on industry standard open software principles Unitymedia KabelBW are assured that their investment will offer long term benefits and significantly enhance how IT supports the business.

The first and key objective that was set for the Zentive platform was that of providing access from Unitymedia KabelBW’s subscriber web site front-end application to the core BSS back office system, this being a billing and customer care application provided by NetCracker Corporation.
