Editor-In-Chief and Top Product Reviewer Win Awards at Annual Cat Writers Association Conference

AdoptAShelter.com is very pleased to announce that it's editor-in-chief, Dusty Rainbolt, and top product reviewer Jacqueline Munera won numerous awards at the 2012 Cat Writers Association Conference. The Cat Writers Association (CWA) is an organization of professionals writing, publishing and broadcasting about cats, feline behavior and wellness. Each year the CWA holds a conference and awards banquet sponsored by a number of highly-regarded pet product companies including Hartz Mountain Corporation, Nestle Purina PetCare Company and Pioneer Pet Products.

Jacqueline Munera won the Sticky Paws® Training Award sponsored by Pioneer Pet Products for the best article or tape entry on training techniques for It Takes Two: Successful Cat and Dog Interactions. Ms. Munera has been reviewing products for AdoptAShelter.com for about a year. She is an IAABC Certified Cat Behavior Consultant and is co-instructor of the Companion Animal Sciences Institute’s Diploma of Feline Behavior program. Ms. Munera presents nationally and internationally on a variety of cat training and behavior topics and has published multiple cat related articles.

Dusty Rainbolt, editor-in-chief of AdoptAShelter.com, won the Hartz® Glamour-Puss Award for Fight the Bite, her entry on the topic of feline skin and coat care. She also won three awards sponsored by Nestle Purina, namely the Purina One® Health Award for Fatima's Fix, an article on feline health issues; the Tidy Cats® Feline Behavior Award for her entry A Behavior Masterpiece; and the Friskies® Writer of the Year Award for her body of work. Ms. Rainbolt also won the Shojai Mentor Award recognizing her continued guidance, counsel and support of other professional writers. Additionally, Ms. Rainbolt won two Muse Medallions for Best Humor and Best Essay / Opinion, both of which were published on AdoptAShelter.com.
