This week's interest rate report from CreditCardSelect.com shows national average interest rates hovering around 15 percent.

Credit Card Select’s average interest rate for all credit cards was 15.4 percent, and included a range from 11 percent for low interest credit cards to more than 20 percent for bad credit credit cards.

CreditCardSelect.com, a credit card comparison website, released its weekly interest rate report today, revealing the average interest rates for six categories of credit cards.

Credit Card Select’s average interest rate for all credit cards was 15.4 percent, and included a range from 11 percent for low interest credit cards to more than 20 percent for bad credit credit cards.

Cards for balance transfers, business and rewards had average interest rates below 16 percent, while student credit cards had an average interest rate of 16.96 percent.
The site’s weekly interest rate report is based on the Credit Card Select’s 100 best credit card offers, organized by card type. The interest rates do not include introductory or special offers.

The report includes interest rates from popular credit cards issuers like Capital One, American Express, Chase, Citi and Discover.
