Santa Fe, NM (PRWEB) November 20, 2012
Always a sellout crowd, the 3rd Annual Cowboy Christmas Dinner and Dance benefiting the Horses For Heroes- New Mexico, Inc. Cowboy Up! Program, free for Combat Wounded and PTSD veterans and active military, is well on its way to be sold out this year too. La Fonda on the Plaza is a featured business on Santa Fe, NM’s premier on-line magazine and visitor guide, SantaFe.com.
6 p.m. Friday, November 30th at the La Fonda on the Plaza is the date for this years event with entertainment by Western Music Association Male Vocalist of the Year R.W. Hampton and Santa Fe favorites Kim and the Caballeros. Locals and visitors are invited to buy tickets to this worthy cause then come and sit down to a char grilled steak dinner, feast eyes on an incredible silent auction filled with cowboy gear and western art and rub elbows with ranchers, artists and the most fun folks ever.
A one of a kind silent auction item being offered at this year’s event is a display knife made by Santa Fe craftsman Dick Kimberly. With steel from the World Trade Center, this knife is cut out from one of the steel blanks used to make commemorative knives for the US Navy SEAL TEAM on the Osama Bin Laden Raid. Kimberly has fashioned copper fittings from the Revolutionary War ship Constitution “Old Ironsides” along with a hand finished Maple handle to create a truly amazing piece of history that is a must own piece.
If that auction items isn’t enough, attendees can bid on a sumptuous dinner for 4 at the home of Ambassador Joe Wilson and Valarie Plame Wilson author of the best selling true story book “Fair Game” about her life in the CIA.
Tickets are $100.00 per person and can be purchased on line at http://www.horsesforheroes.org.
