Kobie Marketing, a St. Petersburg-based company and global leader in loyalty marketing, donated 7,433 pounds of food items valued at over $10,000 to the St. Petersburg Free Clinic, which has been offering free medical care, transitional housing, food, counseling and financial assistance to the area’s poor, hungry and homeless for 42 years. Through the company’s November “Giving Back to the Community” event, Kobie Marketing will be helping the Free Clinic provide meals for the hungry during Thanksgiving and the rest of the holiday season.

On average the clinic’s Food Bank receives 200 pounds of donated food per company, but this year, Kobie surpassed that average by thousands. To accomplish this, Kobie Marketing’s 82 employees split into teams and competed to collect the most money or food, accepting donations, holding bake sales and potluck lunches, coordinating on-site massages by a professional masseuse and more.
“With Kobie Marketing’s generous donation, we will be able to support our partner agencies throughout Pinellas County, many of which depend on our food bank to stock their pantries,” said Food Bank director Ken Murphy. “We are very grateful to have such a great relationship with Kobie Marketing, and I’d like to thank them from the bottom of my heart for their compassion and generosity.”
