After an extremely successful kick off to Ketel One® Vodka’s second consecutive campaign, Modern Hispanic Gentleman (MHG) -- a series of networking events celebrating the efforts of local, socially conscious influencers that embody the aspirational nature of the Ketel One brand -- is set to wrap up activities for 2012 with its end of year celebration, “Suits for Success”, an event supporting aspiring Hispanic professionals via a suit and coat drive.
The intimate holiday gathering will take place on Monday, Dec. 3 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Hubbard Inn, located at 110 W. Hubbard Street, in the heart of Chicago’s River North area. As part of Ketel One’s rich tradition of heritage and leadership, the brand requests that attendees donate coats or gently used suits to benefit the “Suits for Success” initiative, which also benefits The Salvation Army LaVillita Corps Community Center.
"We are extremely grateful for the wonderful donation of much needed coats and suits that Modern Hispanic Gentleman and 'Suits for Success' is collecting to benefit The Salvation Army," said Lt. Col. Ralph Bukiewicz, Metropolitan Divisional Commander of The Salvation Army. "At The Salvation Army, we continue to have record numbers of people turning to us for assistance. These coats help The Salvation Army meet one of the most basic needs of the people who turn to us for help and will be provided to people in need to keep them warm during Chicago's cold winters."
Guests who participate in the coat drive will enter to win a custom blazer, donated by the Trunk Club and valued at over $1000.
In the sprit and tradition of the brand’s service with gusto, Ketel One® will also toast to influential gentlemen who have paid it forward in every aspect of their lives and who continue to inspire others by giving back.
Donors may also drop off coats or suits anytime before or after the event at the CMN Offices, located at 1459 W. Hubbard Street, between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. through Wednesday, Dec 12.
This year’s campaign honors Sergio Fernandez with the Hispanic Alliance for Career Enhancement (HACE), a civic organization that has helped over 35,000 people achieve their professional aspirations, as well as Carlos Jaramillo with the United Neighborhood Organization (UNO), a community organization that focuses on addressing the needs of the Hispanic community by providing a platform for future leaders. Additionally, the second edition of the MHG series features a People’s Choice component, allowing the community to vote for the third gentleman at http://www.modernhispanicgentlemen.com, with voting set to begin in early 2013. The four-event series runs from October of 2012 through July of 2013 and features a celebration honoring each gentleman individually as well as an event finale with all honorees.
