CoffeeTable Takes Best in Show - Judge’s Choice, Shopping - Judge’s Choice, and Shopping - Audience Choice Among 26 Contenders at Under the Radar Showcase

CoffeeTable, the top-ranked catalog shopping app in the App Store, won the Best in Show - Judge’s Choice award at this year’s Under the Radar Mobile + Social Conference (UTR), a startup competition where 26 emerging startups pitched their business ideas to panels of important industry executives and investors.

In addition, CoffeeTable was honored in the Shopping category, winning both Judge’s Choice and Audience Choice awards, making CoffeeTable the winning innovator among its peers. CoffeeTable CEO, Ben Choi’s presentation of how the company is bringing the $270 billion paper catalog business to mobile devices resonated with the judge’s panel and industry spectators alike. Judges included Shane Guthrie, vice president of business development and multimedia solutions at Alcatel-Lucent, Sonny Jandial, marketing at Procter & Gamble, Christine Lagorio, executive of, and Joe Simon, chief technology officer at Condé Nast.

“This is the first start-up competition we've participated in, so we were excited when UTR invited us,” notes Choi. “We were of course surprised to sweep all three awards including Best in Show because there were so many other great companies presenting. But we weren't totally surprised because we really do believe in our product, and think that others do as well.” Choi later added, “As a startup, every day is like a competition to do more, better and faster! The first “digital doorbuster”
CoffeeTable garnered its awards as it kicks off a holiday season where mobile commerce is expected to be bigger than ever.
