Leading gap insurance retailer http://www.car2cover.co.uk have confirmed their continued support for the charity known as the Willow Foundation. The Willow Foundation was formed in 1999 by Bob Wilson, ex Arsenal and Scotland goalkeeper and TV presenter when his daughter Anna passed away following a 5 year battle against cancer. The Willow Foundation provides positive and life enhancing days for seriously ill 16 – 40 year olds. The special days include, shows, concerts, sports events, city breaks, spa day and driving experiences to name but a few. Every special day aims to provide beneficiaries and their loved ones with a break from the realities of their diagnosis and treatment. At a time of uncertainty, spending quality time with family and friends can help restore a sense of normality, boost confidence and create precious memories for the future.

A spokesman for car2cover.co.uk said “we are delighted to continue our monthly support to the Willow Foundation who we have donated to on a monthly basis for over two years”

The organisation click2protect who own the gap insurance web site http://www.car2cover.co.uk and http://www.gapinsurancebroker.co.uk donate money to the Willow Foundation every time a customer purchases a policy. Despite other charities requesting support, the Willow Foundation will continue to be the organisations chosen charity for the foreseeable future.

“Our customers feel good about raising much needed funds to a worthwhile cause without being asked to donate. We pay part of our profits to Willow because they do such memorable work for people with life threatening conditions. So far the Willow Foundation have provided over 8,500 special days and we are delighted to be associated with them,” said car2cover spokesman Elaine Scott.

To incentivise customers to buy and thereby increase the amount donated, car2cover.co.uk choose one policy purchaser per month to receive a refund of their premium in a monthly draw, which provides the lucky winners with free gap insurance. In a recent ad-hoc prize draw, another lucky winner received a new Apple i-Pad.

Scott stated “as our business continues to grow, so too will the level of donation to the Willow Foundation."
