Installed in the Westfield Stratford store last year, the Bodymetrics scanner was a first for the UK high street. The technology is innovative, creative and unique and customer feedback was outstanding. Following on from the phenomenal reaction we received, the new scanner installed at the Marble Arch store will truly enhance our customer shopping experience.
Housed in a specialised denim area with specially trained denim experts, customers will be invited to step inside the pod for their scanning experience. Detecting figures, not dress sizes, the scanners will immediately determine the customers body shape. New Look denim staff will be on hand to advise the best suited style of jean following the scanners results.
As one of the UK high street leaders for denim sales, New Look sells a pair of jeans every seven seconds and is number three in Market share for volume; this new technology is a fantastic boost for this already booming area of New Look’s fashion credentials. Along with its fabulous range of shoes, coats and plus size clothing, New Look continues to offer customers the very best in affordable high street clothing.
The Store Itself
The New Look store is part of an innovative retail concept that is rolling out across its portfolio of stores. Giving a more premium and boutique feel, the Marble Arch branch has attention to detail and cutting edge technology throughout.
Newlook.com has become a definite focus, with a whole area dedicated to merchandise exclusive to the website for customers to engage with. The accessories will be housed in one area that has a shop-in-shop feel to it; its design based around the idea of a walk-in wardrobe, creating a warm and comfortable atmosphere for customers. Further detail in the changing rooms include ‘maybe’, ‘definitely’ and ‘my stuff’ hooks to allow customers to organise their clothing as they try on.
Using new technology, POS tablets have been designed to help customers track down and purchase product they have viewed online. Additionally, there will be mannequins with ipad faces designed to engage and surprise customers, these will be dressed solely in product exclusive to the website to further increase the presence of newlook.com in store.
