Flanged pipe is very useful for pressure pipelines installed above ground, such as pumping stations and Water Treatment plants. It can also be used in underground piping situations at pipe junctions and intersections. Flanged joints are made by bolting together two flanges with a gasket between them to provide a seal. Proper installation of the gasket is vital in achieving a pipe, free from leaks.
FT Ductile stocks ductile iron flanged pipe in diameters 80mm - 600mm. Flanged spigot, flanged socket, double flanged pipe, and puddle flanged pipe are all available in a variety of lengths and diameters. Standard drilling is NP16 with NP10 and NP25 also available. The maximum length we can manufacture per pipe is 5300mm for EN545 (potable water) or EN598 (dirty water). Special coatings are available on request.
To protect the pipe during transportation and handling, a range of flanged pipe end caps are now available from FT Ductile. They feature a drawstring closure method and are available for all pipe sizes.
Rob Peberday, Managing Director of FT Ductile said, "our extensive range of ductile iron pipes, fittings and associated products, combined with our next day delivery service offers huge benefits to our customers who have come to rely on us for providing them with high quality products, quickly".
