Black Girls Rock Contest, Holiday Party and More-Wellington Hair Spa Looks Ahead

WHS, with founder Patrick Wellington at the helm, embarks on exciting ventures to close 2012, and prepare for 2013. Wellington Hair Spa is a contestant in Black Girls Rock Salon Takeover, a nonprofit dedicated to empowering and enhancing positive images of women of color. In addition, the annual holiday party will be held on December 2, featuring artwork by Elizabeth Solazzo.

The end of the year always seems to be a busiest yet reflective time-the holidays seem to come at a rapid pace, there is shopping to be done, family to see, and events to attend. And one event not to be missed is the annual Christmas party held by Wellington Hair Spa, located at 119 West 23rd St in Chelsea, NY. Festivities abound when staff and owner alike mingle with clients, and the delicious hors d'oeuvres are not to be missed. This year, the salon will have a welcome addition to the traditional fete-Elizabeth Solazzo of Staten Island, a textile artist, will be on hand to display her captivating artwork, which will also be available for sale that evening. The party will be this Sunday, December 2, at 3 pm. All attendees must RSVP.

Not to forget the endless happenings that occur at Wellington Hair Spa, Black Girls Rock and Patrick Wellington have teamed up together. Black Girls Rock is a nonpro the winner will receive an exfit that promotes and enhances positivity within the black female community, and currently launching a contest whereclusive filming at their salon by Black Girls Rock! The winner will be decided by number of check-ins on Foursquare, so all clients are encouraged to check in with each visit.
