1. Assess Each Product’s Requirements.
Thoroughly assess every product’s packaging requirements and compare those requirements to current practices. For example, you may discover that you can use a lighter weight cardboard and/or plastic film.

2. Check that Boxes are the Correct Size.
Experts say that there rarely needs to be more than 2 inches of dead space between the product and outer box. Smaller boxes will save a significant amount of money both by reducing shipping costs and reducing the cost of packaging materials.
