According to Top Echelon Network President Mark Demaree, the results of this most recent poll are encouraging.

These numbers indicate that recruiters overall enjoyed a good year in 2012.

With the calendar year winding down, this is typically the time when executive recruiters assess their desks and begin to evaluate their production during the past 12 months.

This assessment and evaluation allows recruiters to both gauge what worked and what didn’t during the year and also plan for the future. The current state of the economy might make it more difficult to predict how many recruiters will reach—or even surpass—their yearly goals.

According to a recent poll conducted by Top Echelon Network, an elite network of highly specialized search firms, nearly half of recruiters are on track to reach their production goals for 2012.

As part of that poll, Top Echelon Network asked the following question: “With the holiday season approaching, will you reach your production goals for this year?”

Over a quarter of poll participants (26.1%) have “already reached” their goals for 2012, while another 17% are “on track to reach them.” That means nearly 50% of respondents (43.1%) have already reached their production goals for the year or are on track to do so.

As encouraging as that is, 28.2% indicated that they’re “not on track to reach them,” while another 18.2% chose “I don’t know; it’s going to be close” as their answer. Just over 10% of participants don’t set production goals for their recruiting desk.

According to Top Echelon Network President Mark Demaree, the results of this most recent poll are encouraging.

“These numbers indicate that recruiters overall enjoyed a good year in 2012,” said Demaree. “Recruiters traditionally set aggressive goals for themselves and their firms, so the fact that almost half of them will be hitting those goals speaks well for the activity level in their niche and the urgency with which their clients want to hire.

“Production overall in Top Echelon Network has also risen in 2012. In fact, our Preferred Member recruiters have made 20% more split placements this year than they did in 2011, and we look forward to continued growth next year.”

Top Echelon Network was founded in 1988 in Canton, Ohio.
