NEW YORK, NY (PRWEB) November 27, 2012

Tickets-for-Charity, the only destination for premium concerts and sports tickets that also benefit charity, is proud to announce its partnership with multi-platinum rockers Matchbox Twenty. Premium tickets for the upcoming "NORTH" American Tour are now available at Tickets-for-Charity.com. The online ticket company works with some of the biggest names in sports and entertainment to offer fans access to great seats while creating a charitable donation with every purchase. This is the first time Matchbox Twenty has partnered with Tickets-for-Charity on a Charitable Sale™ program to benefit Children’s Health Fund (CHF).

"We are thrilled to be part of Matchbox Twenty’s 2013 tour," said CEO Jay Whitehead. "To date, Tickets-for-Charity has raised millions of dollars for charitable organizations by working with exceptional acts like Matchbox Twenty.” Whitehead notes that Tickets-for-Charity has been successful because they understand how important it is for artists, teams, and fans to turn buying into giving. “Our partners and fans turn to us time and again because they understand the unique value we create with every ticket sale.”

“Children’s Health Fund is so pleased to be a beneficiary from Matchbox Twenty’s 2013 tour,” said CHF’s Senior Vice President of Development Carol Sumkin. “With 25 projects and a fleet of 50 mobile medical units throughout the U.S., the donations will go a long way in ensuring that children across the country have access to high-quality health care.”

The 2013 tour celebrates Matchbox Twenty's blockbuster album, "NORTH," which exploded into the #1 position on the SoundScan/Billboard 200 after its first week in release earlier this year. In addition to more than 30 million records sold worldwide, Matchbox Twenty has also earned countless accolades, including five Grammy nominations, four American Music Award nods, the 2004 People's Choice Award for "Favorite Musical Group."

About Children’s Health Fund
In 1987, Children’s Health Fund was created in response to an unacceptable situation. For thousands of kids packed into New York City’s homeless shelters, their chance for the future was dim. That inspired singer/songwriter Paul Simon and pediatrician/child advocate Irwin Redlener, MD to do something life-changing for these children. Adequate medical care was an essential first step in helping them to be healthy and ready to learn, to have dreams and the hope of achieving them. Today, CHF has 50 mobile clinics, “doctors’ offices on wheels,” serving hundreds of locations across the country. And, over the past 25 years, the organization has grown to support almost 250,000 health care visits each year for disadvantaged children.
