The LazerLift is the first procedure that tightens the facial skin and underlying supporting tissues without a scalpel
Orlando, FL (PRWEB) November 26, 2012
“Seleina,” a Florida woman says she was very unhappy with sagging, wrinkled skin on her chin and neck but she didn’t want to have a surgical procedure which required cutting and sutures. Seleina recently had the LazerLift™ done by cosmetic surgeon Dr. Roger Bassin. She appears with Dr. Bassin to reveal her new look in this video clip from the Nov. 26th, 2012 episode of “The Doctors” T.V. show.
“The LazerLift is the first procedure that tightens the facial skin and underlying supporting tissues without a scalpel,” says Dr. Bassin. “Using a new fiber-optic laser device, the LazerLift tightens and smoothes the skin from the inside out, safely and effectively. The LazerLift is done with the patient awake, with no stitches and no scars,” says Bassin.
“Aging progresses both at the surface of the skin, as well as within the underlying supporting tissues of the face, known as the ‘SMAS’” layer,” says Dr. Bassin. “Sagging skin, jowls, and the loss of youthful neckline curves can all combine to make a woman look older than she feels. That’s why facial treatments which apply only external laser energy can’t produce dramatic results.”
“Until now, the only way to adequately lift and tighten the lower face and neck was through invasive surgery,” says Dr. Bassin. “Unfortunately, the SMAS layer had to be cut, tightened, and sutured, leaving patients at risk. And, for women who were considering a surgical facelift, there was no way to avoid the scalpel.”
Dr. Bassin says the LazerLift offers excellent results with minimal downtime. “Thanks to advances in laser technology developed by Cynosure (the manufacturer) the LazerLift can help tighten both the skin and the underlying SMAS layer without the pain, risks, and downtime associated with extensive incisions and sutures,” he says. “During the LazerLift, a fiber-optic laser is used to safely and effectively heat the dermis and SMAS from the inside out, promoting structural lifting and skin tightening. Because this revolutionary laser technology can be introduced through microscopic entry points, patients can now avoid the scalpel altogether. “
How The LazerLift Is Done
“The LazerLift is performed in the office in as little as 30 to 40 minutes, and there is no need for general anesthesia,” says Dr. Bassin. “During the procedure, the doctor will place three 1.0 mm micro-incisions by the ears and the chin. The micro-incisions are smaller than the tip of a ballpoint pen and will be unnoticeable once healed. Numbing fluid is introduced through the entry points, acting instantaneously to ensure patient comfort throughout the procedure. A very thin fiber optic wire is inserted through each of the three tiny incisions and a beam of light emitted from the laser is attracted to the fat and water in the skin. The side-firing fiber optic wire is unique because one side heats the dermis (deeper layer of the skin) from the inside out, while the other melts the fat, spurring new collagen growth which provides foundation and support for the face and significant skin tightening. The laser energy promotes tissue coagulation, which results in an immediate SMAS tightening effect, as well as continuing improvements in the months following the procedure.”
“The results are amazing,” says Dr. Bassin. “Patients see a new, younger looking appearance. The LazerLift can help to tighten and lift the lower face and neck while it smoothes wrinkles and fine lines, improves jawline definition and restores youthful curves in the neck.”
“While every patient heals differently, in general LazerLift patients can expect very minimal bruising and swelling for about 3 to 5 days after treatment,” says Dr. Bassin. “Discomfort is usually minor and can be managed easily with over-the-counter pain medications. After the procedure, the patient will be able to drive home and can resume normal daily activities immediately.”
“Soon a number of highly qualified physicians will be performing the LazerLift procedure across the country,” says Dr. Bassin. We have created a beautiful new website, filled with LazerLift facts, videos, patient photos and a physician directory.

Patients are excited with their LazerLift results,” says Dr. Bassin. “It’s the best way yet to reverse the classic signs of aging without going under the knife.”
