On the flip side, and unsurprisingly, Sundays were the quietest of the week.
Of the traditional working week, Monday was the slowest day for hiring of voice talent, but the second busiest day that auditions were sent or casting notices posted.
The website is less than one year old, but bookings continue to increase week-on-week.
The results of the survey also show that there is an increase in bookings in the lead up to major holidays like Thanks giving and Easter, however it generally takes one or two weeks to pick up again.
The Voice Realm’s Robert James says even though the statistics show Thursday as the busiest day in general, sometimes the pendulum swings the other way. “ We've seen weeks with little activity on a Thursday and then the following Monday a flurry of auditions and bookings across the site. Any professional voice over talent will tell you it happens in waves, and it’s quite unpredictable.”
The site is unique in the fact that only professional voice talent are listed after a screening of their equipment, skills and demos. Female and male voice talent from around the world are active on the site, which means you could be working with someone in Australia or New Zealand and you would be none the wiser.
The survey also indicated that there’s been a large increase in the past three months of voice castings for online videos. Of 174 jobs and auditions more than 53% were for online use only. A small decrease was noticed for on-hold and IVR bookings.
The Voice Realm operates 24 hours a day, every single day of the year. Customer support is provided to voice talent and clients looking to hiring voice actors around the clock. Support staff are located in Asia, Europe and North America.
