World Congress, the leading global provider of health care, pharmaceutical and legal conferences announces the launch of the Pharmaceutical Division’s Educational Webinar Series. The department aims to provide a forum for industry leaders to connect with peers, collaborate through outcome-focused dialogue and share innovations with the industry – without ever having to leave the office.
“With strict deadlines, dry pipelines and evolving redlines, the need for senior executives to collaborate and share innovations on the web is upon us. Webinars are the next frontier for senior executives to connect with peers without ever having to leave the office,” said Leila Belmahi, the Pharmaceutical Webinar Producer at World Congress.
The division will host senior thought leaders who focus on a vast array of topics within the life sciences including regulatory and compliance issues, medical device innovation, clinical/drug development, research & development, marketing and commercialization, drug delivery, manufacturing, medical affairs, and more.
“We believe that learning is most effective when it is interactive,” said Belmahi, “As a result, we have focused on providing Q&A and polling opportunities from registration to post-webinar networking. Delegates can expect a poll when they register for the event to help hone the webinar conversation to their needs and interests. After the webinar ends, we encourage delegates and attendees to continue the conversation on our webinar-specific LinkedIn groups.”
Webinars are also available on-demand after the presentation has ended for continued learning opportunities.
The first confirmed webinar, Obtaining FDA Approval for your Medical Mobile App, will go live on Wednesday, January 23rd, 2013. Kyle Peterson, Director, Regulatory & Corporate Affairs at Calgary Scientific Inc. as well as Tracy Rausch, Founder and CTO of DocBox Inc. will lead the discussion on new regulations in the Healthcare Innovation and Marketplace Technologies Act that are necessary for FDA approval of mobile medical apps. This presentation will also focus on safety considerations when developing a medical device app as well as a look at the unintended implications of the Act and what you can do anticipate and react to those implications to gain a competitive advantage.
