Legal information provider recognised for innovation, authority, and understanding the needs of law firms.

LexisNexis UK, a leading provider of content and technology solutions, today announced that it has been named Supplier of the Year at the British Legal Awards 2012. The awards recognise excellence, success and advances within the legal world and are judged by a panel of independent experts from the profession, including former senior partners, in-house counsel, journalists and academics.

LexisNexis was recognised for its ability to measurably improve the performance of its customers such as Andrew & Co. LLP. By using a combination of Lexis®PSL and Lexis®Library, Andrew & Co demonstrated an overall 15% improvement on time spent conducting legal research, which converted directly to fee-earning - using LexisPSL Practice Compliance, in particular, enabled Andrew & Co’s Compliance Officer to reduce time spent on routine tasks by 40-50%, or £20,000 savings per year. In the area of development and training, the webinars available from Lexis®Learning enabled Andrew & Co’s lawyers to train without leaving their desks, ensuring 25% less time out of the office on training courses and a saving of 25% on travel.

Julie Bailey, Andrew & Co LLP managing partner, explained: “We’re not only leaner, but we now have access to much more information and support than ever before. So we’re in a much stronger position both to look after our clients and make better profits. By consolidating all our information services with LexisNexis, we immediately trimmed 10% off our annual spend.”

Christian Fleck, LexisNexis UK managing director, commented: “I am delighted that we have been named Supplier of the Year at the British Legal Awards. These prestigious awards recognise excellence, and this is exactly what we aim for by way of delivering measurable value to our customers. During 2012 we completed the LexisPSL product suite, which is an excellent example for how we support law firms in driving productivity and efficiency. We have involved our customers every step of the way, and I would like to thank everyone who participated in helping us become Supplier of the Year to the legal market.”
