CBIG has taken the next evolutionary step in Business Intelligence with its deployment of a new Sensor Data Analytics (SDA) Accelerator to give businesses a springboard to start permanent big data processes in as little as two weeks. Designed as an economical prototype model for enterprises that are considering a big data strategy to grow their business, this accelerator incorporates a sampling of a company’s own data to demonstrate a complete working solution with pre-built assets and components.
Similar to CBIG’s Social Media Analytics (SMA) Accelerator, the new SDA Accelerator is best practice BI architecture, just on a smaller scale. This low-cost, low-risk module was developed as a starter kit with all the necessary components, including pre-built models, cloud-based data warehouse guides, sample metrics and user-friendly dashboard applications. The SDA Accelerator starts with the CBIG Cloud™ and offers a painless migration back to a company’s data center.
The key feature of the CBIG accelerator concept is in its long-term viability—the modules are constructed to grow and scale as business changes, to more effectively respond to real-world information and feedback involving a company’s products or services. The SDA Accelerator works on the principle that the true value of sensor data—biometrics, utility smart meters, cable boxes, home security, auto sensors, and GPS devices—is achieved when it’s tied to other data sets, such as environmental/geospatial/weather data, complementary sensors, and a client’s own corporate data. Triangulating this data through the SDA Accelerator can produce highly valuable intelligence in areas that include predictive analytics, discovery of new market segments and trends, fraud prevention, preventative maintenance, forecasting, and tighter feedback loops.
