Having the right billing solution in place is the difference between gaining market share or being left behind.
Austin, Texas (PRWEB) November 28, 2012
Transverse, the company behind the leading activity-based billing and subscription management SaaS platform, TRACT Billing, today announced additions to its leadership team that will accelerate sales and product marketing results. As Vice President of Solution Consulting, Vincent Kavanagh will be responsible for building the company’s solutions consulting group and overseeing the customer experience strategy. Geoff Coleman, Vice President of Product Strategy and Product Marketing, will be responsible for end-to-end product strategy and product marketing activities.
“Unique among cloud-based billing providers, Transverse senior leaders have deep billing experience from careers focused on data management and monetization,” said James Messer, co-founder, president, and CEO at Transverse. “We are pleased to welcome Vincent and Geoff to the Transverse team. Both are recognized experts in the global customer experience and billing industry, and their domain expertise will provide strategic benefit to our customers and further set us apart from the competition.”
In April 2012, Transverse announced an investment of $22 million (U.S.) from German investors to expand operations and increase sales and marketing efforts. Since then, Transverse has:
- Nearly doubled the sales team with experienced cloud billing sales representatives
- Tripled the number of customer wins, with significant growth in midsize and enterprise businesses
- Deepened its leadership bench by hiring Kavanagh and Coleman
Kavanagh has more than 20-years of global experience in billing, marketing strategy, product development, and business development. Prior to Transverse, Kavanagh served as the EMEA practice leader for customer experience transformation at Alcatel-Lucent, where he was responsible for developing customer experience strategies for global enterprise customers. Previously, Kavanagh worked with both established brands like Vodafone and start-ups to develop strategy, execute on go-to-market plans, and grow business opportunities.
“It's exciting to join a company that is unleashing the strategic business value of billing,” said Kavanagh. “Transverse has exactly the kind of technology needed to deliver a better customer experience by matching billing capabilities to the way people and businesses consume products and services.”
Coleman has over 25-years of technology experience, with a 20-year focus on the billing industry. Prior to joining Transverse, Coleman was associate vice president for business support service product offerings at Comverse. Coleman led Product Management through the creation and market introduction of Comverse ONE. Comverse is the world’s leading provider of software and systems for converged billing, customer management, mobile Internet, and value-added services whose customer base spans more than 125 countries and covers over 450 communication service providers serving more than two billion subscribers.
“I’m eager to apply my deep billing experience to a company that’s bringing a simple, more flexible way to tackle complex billing challenges across a much broader customer base,” said Coleman. “For many businesses, having the right billing solution in place is the difference between gaining market share or being left behind.”
Transverse was founded in 2008 by billing experts who saw an opportunity to make sophisticated billing capabilities available to more businesses. TRACT Billing from Transverse is the only all-in-one activity-based billing platform that can meter, rate, and bill based on customer behavior. Unlike basic subscription or expensive legacy billing systems, TRACT provides a simple solution to complex billing challenges while empowering companies to engage with customers and rapidly monetize the launch of new products and services.
