To further expand its collaborations and business opportunities with Indian companies and educational institutions, IEEE Computer Society has hired a senior business development manager in IEEE’s Bangalore office.
Yatheendranath (Yathi) Tarikere has more than 25 years of technology industry experience. Prior to joining IEEE Computer Society, he worked as the head of the modem and connectivity practice at Sasken Communication Technologies; and led global sales and marketing teams of Global Edge Software Ltd., an embedded solutions and services company; and was the head of the wireless business unit of KTwo Technology Solutions, a global healthcare IT products, solutions, and consulting company. He also co-founded Adamya and led the company for 11 years as CEO. During his tenure with Adamya, he established a US subsidiary and oversaw the successful merger of the group with another company.
Yathi has a wealth of experience working with multicultural teams worldwide. He has set up sales and marketing strategies for promoting products and services in various geographies, worldwide. Besides technology work, Yathi is involved with several voluntary organizations that work with underprivileged communities.

IEEE has operated an office in the central business district of Bangalore since 2010. The office enables IEEE and IEEE Computer Society to support engineering and technical professionals in the country through a variety of educational and certification programs.
IEEE Computer Society currently supports five Registered Education Providers in India: the Advanced Computing & Communications Society, Infosys, and Latitude, all based in Bangalore; Purna Career Solutions, based in Chennai; and Techno India NJR Institute of Technology, located in Udaipur.
The REPs provide IEEE Computer Society software development certifications and preparation programs to their clients. IEEE Computer Society offers two certifications, the Certified Software Development Associate (CSDA) for entry-level developers and the Certified Software Development Professional (CSDP) credential for mid-career developers.
