Blackrock NeuroMed will demonstrate its revolutionary electrophysiology technology to the nation’s top neuroscientists, neurologists, neurosurgeons, epileptologists and EEG technical specialists during the annual meeting of the American Epilepsy Society that takes place this year in San Diego December 1-3.
“Since only one of every three patients who suffer from epilepsy are successfully treated with medication, diagnosis is central to understanding what triggers seizures,” said Andrew Gotshalk, Blackrock NeuroMed CEO. “The AES Convention provides our team direct access to the top medical specialists, scientists and researchers and enables us to work together to discover how our advanced and revolutionary technology can help them provide real answers for patients.”
The Cervello Elite System is the first and only technology available that combines a full range of electrophysiology research capability with High-Definition Video EEG monitoring. The system is available with up to 256 channels and synchronizes all data immediately for both clinical and research applications and new software significantly improves how technicians set up and map channels to the correct electrodes.
Standard EEG technology measures the energy of tens of thousands of neurons in the brain at once. Blackrock NeuroMed’s CervelloTM Elite System measures and records signals from every tiny neuron, allowing the clinician unprecedented precision in identifying underlying causes of what may be triggering disruption in the brain’s natural circuitry.
The Blackrock NeuroMed team will also demonstrate the Cervello ICU EEG Monitoring System, which has full EEG monitoring capabilities and a smaller footprint or wall-mount option ideally suited for the ICU.
Tom Keener, Director of Sales, will lead the Blackrock NeuroMed Team, which includes Shanna Ryan, Sr. Product Manager, Troy Pridgeon, Damon Gee, Mike Haydon, all Regional Sales Managers and Jake Smith, Technical Support.
