New York (PRWEB) November 28, 2012
In response to increasing demand for better risk retention solutions, Willis Global Captive Practice, part of the global insurance broker Willis Group Holdings (NYSE: WSH), has launched a state-of-the-art online underwriting and data management system, WillisCaptus.
The new solution, which is believed to be the first of its kind, is designed for Risk Retention Groups (RRG), captives and health care providers to allow them to securely manage their data and develop underwriting information more efficiently.
WillisCaptus combines customisable online access with the ability to quickly and easily handle thousands of records. It is designed to drive efficiencies in underwriting and insurance program documentation by eliminating paperwork and issues with file maintenance and storage.
America’s second largest Catholic health care system, the Catholic Healthcare Initiatives (CHI), which operates in 19 States with a total of 76 hospitals and $10.5 billion in revenue, is among the first of several clients to sign up to the system. CHI uses WillisCaptus to cover Medical Malpractice and Professional Liability insurance lines.
Aidan Kelly, Senior Vice President and Chief Operations Officer of Willis Global Captive Practice said: “We believe that WillisCaptus significantly changes the RRG underwriting environment. In listening to our clients, they were crying out for assistance in streamlining their risk retention processes. Creating WillisCaptus, an online automated solution for coverage applications and data management, is our solution to those needs. It is a clear differentiator for Willis and perfectly complements our existing market leading captive and RRG management services.”
He continued: “In working with CHI, Willis has demonstrated the benefits of WillisCaptus in enhancing data management processes for large healthcare systems and their insurance arrangements.”
Peter Jones, Vice President, Global Insurance Services for CHI, said: “WillisCaptus has proven to be an excellent administrative and underwriting system for our employed physician insurance program. One of our requirements was that our program should be as simple and as easy as possible for our employed physicians to use. WillisCaptus has achieved that through their web-based, state-of-the-art technology that integrates several functions without intervention by staff. We have been able to work closely with Willis to tailor WillisCaptus to meet the specific requirements of CHI and we look forward to continuing our partnership to enhance the product as our program evolves.”
