iEvolve Productions to Present the Red Carpet Premiere of Kongit Farrell's "Landing of the Urban Rebels"

iEvolve Productions, The California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists, Los Angeles Chapter, Legacy Ladies, Inc., Educational Attainment Services and Kongit Farrell are proud to present Landing of the Urban Rebels (L.O.T.U.R), a play that explores the aspects of racial stereotypes within the African American community, will have a Red Carpet Premiere on December 13th at 6:30pm PST.

L.O.T.U.R asks viewers to consider the following question: Is our culture in decline? If so, will we have the courage to act to change the course? Racism, prejudice, misogyny in Hip-hop, the dehumanization of the African-American female, the psychological impacts of slavery, dating & relationships, the cultural impact of sexual abuse, HIV/AIDS, and Afro-American Pride are all explored in this thought-provoking production. Landing of the Urban Rebels will change how you perceive African-American culture. Forever.

Directed by Kongit Farrell, Landing of the Urban Rebels features a talented cast which include star Morgan Rosen as well as Jude Anchang, Maya Washington, Randall Law, Tiffany Snow, Monique Patrice, Isaac Bradley, Imani Hayes, Christina Stanley, Denisha Hill, Jacq Riot, Esther Azal, Eboni Adams, Jah Shams, Damien Burke, Jacq Briggs and Chassie James.

Continuing Education Units will be offered by LA-CAMFT for marriage and family therapist, LPCCS, LCSW's, and interns who attend the show on the 14th and 16th. "L.O.T.U.R. provides mental health professionals with a unique look into the psycho-social challenges within the African-American community and offers them concepts to consider for treatment planning. The public at large will enjoy L.O.T.U.R.’s fearless look into African-American culture and will connect with the message of hope, strength, resilience, acceptance, and love that the characters convey," explains director Kongit Farrell.

L.O.T.U.R is sponsored by LA-CAMFT, Legacy Ladies Inc. and Educational Attainment Services. Performances run December 13th - 23rd, 2012 at The Flight Theater located at The Complex in Hollywood.
