The event had 100% student participation, with 105 choosing to run/walk and another 20 offering support at water stations and clocking times at the finish line. In addition, several faculty members competed, with the top three awards for both men and women as follows:

Most importantly, $6170 was raised to help The American Cancer Society continue their important work in battling this devastating disease. Carlbrook School would like to extend a special thanks to both the student government and Student Life Coordinator, Jenny Buckland, for their hard work in making this event such a success. In addition, Carlbrook would also like to acknowledge Andy Coe, Dean of Students, for kicking off the event and offering a powerful moment of silence for those with friends and family members who have been directly impacted by this disease. Student Life and Advising faculty members were also instrumental in providing support and encouragement to runners throughout the day, including David Smith, Robin Jones, Katherine Myers, Nicole Nardozzi, Brian Tubbs and Shelley O’Bar.

Carlbrook School is proud of its students and faculty for investing their efforts into such a worthy cause and looks forward to supporting future events of this kind for years to come.
