Westchester County, N.Y. (PRWEB) November 28, 2012
Financial attorney and debt management/resolution specialist Leslie Tayne Esq. of The Law Offices of Leslie H. Tayne P.C. has activated a free-of-charge Help Hotline specifically geared toward helping Superstorm Sandy victim’s in need of assistance for financial rebuilding and recovery in the aftermath of the recent disaster. The hotline will provide important financial and debt information, as well as resources. Additionally, Tayne’s office is opening its doors to provide Sandy victims with immediate in-person consultations at no charge and is extending its availability to include evening and weekend appointments.
Among the helpful information callers will receive is valuable insight regarding the executive orders that Governor Andrew Cuomo recently issued for providing debt relief among those impacted by Sandy, including an extended student loan grace period. Tayne and her staff are also providing information regarding the various types of relief loans available, direction on where they can be obtained, and additional resources for further help.
“Superstorm Sandy devastated so many families and businesses in its wake, making it a very difficult and overwhelming time for many who are desperately trying to pick up the pieces and get their lives back to normal as quickly as possible,” explains Tayne. “We realize that the road to repair and recovery can often be long, confusing, and complicated – especially for those who are concerned over debt.”
Tayne recently completed a Mandatory Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) course titled, "Providing Legal Assistance to Persons Affected by Superstorm Sandy" that was offered by the New York State Bar Association in order to ensure she and her staff were prepared for deploying the most effective information and advice for those affected by Sandy. To further assist those left in Sandy’s destructive path, Tayne is also currently contributing her time and expertise as a volunteer at the Nassau County Bar Association's free legal clinic.
“Our free Superstorm Sandy Help Hotline and consultation services are designed to help empower those affected though a clearer understanding of the financial, debt, and insurance relief options and support services that are available for them, which will hopefully help simplify their recovery and rebuilding process,” said Tayne.
