New York, NY (PRWEB) November 30, 2012
Anjellicle Cats Rescue (ACR) and real estate company Stonehenge Partners present "ACR's Evening at The Olivia," a fundraiser on December 6 at 7:00pm. The event featuring wine, food, and a lively discussion on filming movies and TV shows in New York will be held at The Olivia, a Stonehenge property located at 315 West 33rd Street (near 8th Avenue just west of Penn Station).
Tickets are $20 and include food and wine. Proceeds will benefit ACR and its efforts in rescuing, rehabilitating and adopting out New York City's homeless cats and kittens. ACR is a no-kill, all-volunteer, 501(c)(3) organization, a member of the Mayor's Alliance for NYC's Animals, and a New Hope Partner with the NYC Animal Care & Control.
Reservations are required as space is limited. Email info(at)anjelliclecats(dot)com or call 917-328-6790 for ticket sales and reservations.
The evening will include wine, hors d'oeuvres courtesy of Vai Restaurant, and desserts courtesy of Godiesgoodies. The featured speaker is film location manager Tyson Bidner, a 20-year-veteran of the entertainment industry. In addition to sharing stories about his career, Mr. Bidner will discuss his experience working on Darren Aronofsky's "Noah," starring Russell Crowe, and how Hurricane Sandy affected filming. Mr. Bidner's recent credits include The Coen Brothers' upcoming film "Inside Llewyn Davis" and the action-adventure "The Avengers."
"We are beyond thrilled for our fundraiser featuring Mr. Bidner and excited to be partnering with the pet-friendly real estate company Stonehenge, who made this evening possible," said Kathryn Willis, director of ACR. "Stonehenge embraces the idea that an apartment only feels like home when it includes a pet. That attitude perfectly aligns with our efforts in placing ACR cats in happy homes that are as welcoming to humans as they are to animals."
Stonehenge strives to build its business based on awareness, teamwork and social responsibility. The company recognizes that it has a responsibility to give back to the city of New York and the local neighborhoods in which the properties are located. Neighborhood organizations Stonehenge is actively involved in include the 34th Street Partnership, Times Square Alliance, Gramercy Park Block Association and SOHO Partnership.
