“It’s not cutting edge, but we think the Mo-Cedes Mobrobile Convertible could grow on our customer base. It’s not in bad trim and goes like a razor across a hairless chin, so watch this space."

Carbase, the largest independent used car dealership in the South-West, has launched a Mo-cedes Mobrobile Convertible in an attempt to change the face of the market forever. Based on a Mercedes Kompressor, the styling of the new Mo-cedes can not be described as razor sharp, but is sure to tickle petrol heads on a test drive. Carbase believes the furry addition to their Mercedes range will spike interest in their campaign to raise money for cancer research, which has already raised over one thousand pounds.
The trimmed-down motor still maintains Mercedes sporty credentials despite the added weight of the bum fluff on the bonnet, which, if anything, improves handling. The bristly, chiselled looks of the Mo-cedes has led to it being described by critics as the motoring world’s answer to moustache impresarios: Des Lynam, Freddie Mercury and Charlie Chaplin.
The brand new Mo-cedes Mobrobile Covertible is part of Carbase’s campaign to help raise awareness of the work done by Prostate Cancer UK and the Institute of Cancer Research. Eighteen members of the Carbase team have joined their ‘Mo Bros’ across the country by growing moustaches in the hope of raising a significant sum to improve men’s health. They have already raised over a thousand pounds and hope to hit their target of £1500 before the end of ‘Mo-vemeber’.
Raoul Wedge-Thomas, Marketing Manager at Carbase, admitted that there were a few “hairy” moments as the team struggled to bring their brainchild to life, saying: “It’s not cutting edge, but we think the Mo-Cedes Mobrobile Convertible could grow on our customer base. It’s not in bad trim and goes like a razor across a hairless chin, so watch this space.
The whole Carbase team has got involved in growing moustaches in the aid of a great cause. It’s important that we promote men’s health and the more we can do to raise awareness of the great work that Prostate Cancer UK and the Institute of Cancer Research do to combat illness, the better. We’ve already raised over a thousand pounds so it has already been a great success.”
