“Champions for Charity® has grown to become one of Long Island’s most anticipated philanthropic events,” notes Deirdre Costa Major, President of Americana Manhasset. “This year, the American Red Cross Hurricane Sandy Relief is one of our participating charities. In addition to participating in Champions for Charity®, Americana Manhasset is proud to have donated $100,000 to The American Red Cross Hurricane Sandy Relief fund. Over the past 17 years, Americana Manhasset has fostered a partnership with our customers and stores to give back to our community in meaningful ways by helping those in need, supporting the arts, and improving the quality of life for all communities on Long Island. To date, our program has raised over 6.2 million dollars for local and national charities.”
