As part of The EHL Consulting Group’s free monthly workshop series, “Dollars Making Sense,” Avrum D. Lapin, Director and Senior Partner of the Philadelphia fundraising firm, will join nonprofit executives from the Greater Philadelphia Area for an interactive workshop and networking opportunity.
“The response to our monthly workshops has been tremendous,” says Lapin. “Development professionals from all types and sizes of nonprofit organizations are now able to come together on a monthly basis to discuss these important issues in a learning environment, and EHL Consulting is thrilled to help facilitate this productive exchange of ideas and skills.”
The workshop will focus on planned giving and attracting legacy gifts to nonprofit organizations, and will be held on Tuesday, December 11th from 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM at Independents Hall (Indy Hall), located at 22 North 3rd Street, Philadelphia, PA 19106. The workshop is being offered free-of-charge via online registration: http://www.ehlconsulting.com/contact-us/meetups/
Topics for December’s workshop will cover a range of planned giving topics, and include:
- Basic Bequest Language: How to create a bequest template for nonprofit organizations.
- Planned Giving Vehicles: Financial options for long-term charitable donations.
- Common Fundraising Myths: What donors consider planned giving and why?
- December 2012 and Proposed Tax Changes: Why the end of this year is a critical time for nonprofits.
“Planned giving isn’t a fundraising area that is restricted to big organizations with huge development staffs,” notes Lapin. “Many types of nonprofits can employ sophisticated strategies in order to secure gifts in the future, and ensure long-term organizational success.”
