While high-tech gifts are popular on many wish lists this holiday season, Bandit Guns remind families to embrace the time they have together with a modern twist on the rubber band gun. Instead of separate screens and quiet family time with the gadgets, Robert Coulston’s Bandit Guns offer a nostalgic, entertaining and interactive alternative.
Bandit Guns were created with the spirit of family in mind. Robert Coulston’s own three children inspired the invention, when they refused to settle for an old-fashioned rubber band gun. After hundreds of prototypes and lots of hands-on time, Coulston finally landed on a rubber band gun they loved. He had invented the world’s first, multi-action rubber band shot gun in an easy-to-build kit.
“I’m a contractor by trade, so it’s common practice for my children to make special requests. Kids are curious by nature and when they requested a shot gun style rubber band gun, they definitely got me curious too. It’s amazing how our kids inspire us to push ourselves and not accept limits,” said Robert Coulston, inventor of the Bandit Gun.
Coulston has launched a very successful Kickstarter campaign and looks forward to filling holiday orders so that kids and adults all over the country can enjoy “the mother of all rubber band guns,” as coined by Australian journalist Jeff Dolling.
“Bandit Guns are unique because they’re hands on in the building process and in the playing process. So few toys can keep kids and adults engaged and we’ve found Bandit Guns are a perfect way to be active and silly with one another at the time of year when you’re celebrating family,” said Coulston.
The Kickstarter campaign for Bandit Guns will be live until Friday, December 7, 2012.
