Minneapolis, MN (PRWEB) November 30, 2012
Loffler Companies, a provider of office technology and services, was selected as one of an elite twelve Minnesota organizations to be honored with the 2012 Jefferson Award for Public Service by the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal. The employees of Loffler were recognized for their 26 year history of giving back of time, talent, and financial resources to their community. The Jefferson Awards were founded in 1972 by Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, U.S. Sen. Robert Taft Jr., and Sam Beard, founder and chairman of the National Development Council, to honor outstanding corporate philanthropy programs nationwide.
“Our employees feel the calling and want to make a difference in the communities in which we serve. I’m proud of our team and the quality of services they provide our clients and our community,” said company founder and President Jim Loffler.
Loffler provides support for many great causes in the Twin Cities including the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure as a Gold Sponsor, American Cancer Society, Ronald McDonald House, VEAP (Volunteers Enlisted to Assist People), Cornerstone, thinkPINKkids, Feed My Starving Children, and more. It’s primary focus and benefactor though is the St. Joseph’s Home for Children for whom they provide countless volunteer hours and fundraisers throughout the year.
“We greatly value Loffler’s long-term commitment to the children at St. Joseph’s,” said Keith Kozerski, director of children’s services at Catholic Charities of St. Paul and Minneapolis, which runs the program. “Their contributions of both time and resources over the years have been very helpful to our work with at-risk children in the community.”
Jim will often share a well-known verse with the 315 employees of Loffler that, to whom much is given, much is required. It seems to be in the DNA of Loffler employees.
The other Jefferson Award honorees besides Loffler Companies were: Baker Tilly Virchow Krause, Capella Education Co., Carlson, Cushman & Wakefield/NorthMarq, Deluxe Corporation, Fast Horse Inc., Johnstech International, KARE 11, Northeast Bank, The Toro Company, and The Travelers Companies, Inc.
