Now in its 35th year, Houston’s longest-running New Year’s Eve party takes place downtown at Hyatt Regency Houston on Monday, December 31, 2012 from 7:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. Tickets go on sale December 3 at the hotel’s front desk.
Spanning four floors, this much-anticipated Houston New Year’s event features general admission tickets for $89 that include four drink tickets, party favors, rabble-rousing Texas Country from Roger Creager, hot hits from the 60’s by The Fab 5, and DJ 33-1/3 spinning dance favorites in the lobby. The countdown to midnight will once again culminate with Hyatt’s famous 50,000-balloon cascade from the top of hotel’s 33-floor atrium lobby.
Hyatt Regency Houston offers two New Year’s Eve 2012 special deals. The Celebration Package starts at $299 per couple and includes overnight accommodations, eight beverage tickets, party favors, and full access to the party with live entertainment and balloon cascade at midnight. The VIP Package, which starts at $569 per couple, comes complete with overnight accommodations and dinner for two at Spindletop, the revolving rooftop restaurant, plus all the amenities of the Celebration Package.
New Year’s Eve guests can also enjoy the extravagant Regency Buffet featuring a Prime Rib of Beef Carving station, Citrus Mahi Mahi, Grilled Chicken, an antipasto display, soup and fresh salads, a mélange of fresh vegetables, and a dessert station filled with assorted pastries, tortes, cakes, and pies.
