We try to find high-quality companies that we feel can survive full market cycles and have a history of generating dividends for shareholders.
Mission, KS (PRWEB) December 03, 2012
Buffalo Funds is pleased to announce a new income-oriented fund – the Dividend Focus Fund. The primary objective of the Fund is to generate income for shareholders by investing in companies with a history of making dividend payments. With interest rates being held at record lows, income-seeking investors, including the burgeoning baby-boomer population, may be hard-pressed to find replacement income sources. Dividend Focus Fund managers believe that dividend-paying stocks may offer a promising source of income.
While the Fund is new, it will be managed by veteran Portfolio Manager John Kornitzer and Scott Moore, CFA, who has been a dedicated analyst on the Buffalo Flexible Income Fund. The Dividend Focus Fund will rely on thorough in-house research to select stocks for the portfolio. “We are a research-based, valuation-driven firm,” explains Moore. “We try to find high-quality companies that we feel can survive full market cycles and have a history of generating dividends for shareholders. That takes hard work and patience, but we believe that is the best way to achieve an acceptable risk/reward balance that can also generate a beneficial source of income for retirees and near-retirees.”
