Ping Pong Advent calendar turns into Engineering project at home!
Dallas, Texas (PRWEB) December 01, 2012
Kids love the countdown to Christmas. Kids Activities Blog researched the top 27 cool countdown to Christmas activities that will get the whole family into the holiday spirit.
One of the fun activities to get the family into the holiday spirit is by creating a Holiday calendar. Before making the calendar, brainstorm the most favorite Christmas activities with the whole family. Write them on notes and hide them in matchboxes. According to the instructions on Kids Activities Blog put them up on a homemade bulletin board and let the kids pick each day one of these activities.
Another ingenious way to count the days until Christmas is the Ping Pong Ball Advent calendar. Making the ingenious calendar is easy. Supplies needed are Mod Podge Sparkle, 25+ ping pong balls (more than 25 balls since some may be hiding after a few days), about 8 magnets, green and red Christmas tissue and wrapping paper, and paper rolls. According to the instructions provided on Kids Activities Blog, assemble the supplies. The kids will love to make the colorful balls sparkle.
Once the created troughs and balls are dry, stick them onto the fridge with magnets and let the clever kids figure out the way to make the 24 green and one red ball fall gently one by one down the tube. The homemade Advent calendar turns into an Engineering project and will make a treasured keepsake for years to come, guaranteed.
