In a recent poll given to parents of children who recently had their braces removed, it was revealed that Dr. Teodora Bonney of Braceland Orthodontics ranked higher than any other childhood dentist in the state of Pennsylvania. Dr. Bonney, who received her DMD degree from the esteemed University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in 1995, has been in private practice for over eight years and has treated thousands of malocclusions during that time.
Among the areas in which Dr. Bonney ranked highest were Office Staff, Medical Equipment, Cost and Technique. But perhaps the most noteworthy finding of the poll was that patients of Dr. Bonney experienced less pain and discomfort than those who sought treatment at other nearby orthodontic facilities. Bonney cites her expert use of the SPEED System for the increased comfort of her patients. The SPEED System features miniaturized braces that diminish lip and cheek irritation. In addition, the braces apply a continuous, gentle force that is less abrasive and painful than other means.
Participants in the poll also noted that their children had a much easier time cleaning and brushing their braces than those who sought care elsewhere. Patients of Dr. Bonney also experienced significantly faster recovery time, and incurred less debt. One participant in the poll went on record stating, “My son was dreading getting braces, but after the procedure he was more concerned over what was for dinner than the pain. His braces just came off the other day, and he looks like a new person.”
Dr. Bonney was also praised for the amount of time she spent with each patient. On average, each child was given a full 90-minute evaluation, which was followed by a separate consultation with his or her parents. Questions were answered in a courteous and honest manner, and pricing alternatives were discussed before any work was done.
